Not looking for tires to last forever, but don't want to wear excessively quick. If I had a chance to I'd love to track it if i got a chance, but it will most likely not get to since it's a convertible, but don't want to leave anything on the table if possible. Looking at going at least to ZO6 specs I found here.
If you do mostly straight line driving then I'd suggest keeping the camber close to 0, say maybe -0.4 degrees. I doubt you'll be able to feel much difference between -0.4 and -0.8 degrees but will notice it on the tire wear.
In my opinion, the moderate and aggressive will likely both wear the inside edge of the tires too quickly for you.
At a minimum I plan on doing the zo6 numbers. I'm just wondering if I would be able to tell any difference going more agressive. I am not planning on getting a ton of life out of a 200 wear rated tire. I put less than 5000 miles a year on the car and want to enjoy them as much as possible. If I only get a few years out of the tires it's not a huge deal. I just imagin there is a sweet spot where you will stop feeling the difference on a non race tire.
I went from well over 1 degree down to 0.4 degree and didn't really notice much if any difference in corner grip. I find I don't drive right at the edge on the streets since I just never know how much grip I'll have. Even the same spot can change day to day for a variety of reasons and there are usually too many things that can be hit when you go over the edge.
If you use the z06 specs, keep a very close eye on the front tires.(lay down on the floor and look at them with a flashlight occasionally)
They will actually last longer if you do a lot of agressive cornering-if it's a dd like mine, the inside line of tread will go away very quickly-I reset mine to conservative settings when I noticed the excessive wear, and I can't really feel that any difference on curvy mtn roads-auto x might be different, but I don't do that,so I'm not qualified to judge.
