Default AC issue after H/C

Finally got the H/C done and up graded to a 2002 computer and had a speed density tune done.
But now here's the problem my AC compressor cycles on and off at idle, we checked the freon level and it's fine in fact we pulled it down and did a full recharge.
We even raised the idle speed to 750 rpm but it still does it.
Anyone else had anything like this?

Curious, why did you go with a speed density tune? From all of the research and conversation I have had with guys running modified cars and tuners, this is a tune that has to be regularly adjusted. I know that there are tuners out there and good ones that can tune our cars to have full use of everything and drive the car everyday in what ever conditions our encountered.

Hope you find out the fix.

heard of bigger cams not creating enough vacuum @ lower RPM, but that wasnt with vettes. not familiar with us, but maybe its the same? do you get cold air if you rev it up to 2k and hold it there?

Im NOT a tuner but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I do know that there are tables in the PCM that need to be adjusted to allow the PCM and HVAC system to operate properly together after a cam/head install.
ENGLANDGREEN adjusted my PCM to compensate for this VERY ISSUE and solved it!! Thanks EG!

You are very welcome Bill

Corvettebob1 - that is a tune issue and an easy fix. Get your Tuner to fix it - it is NOT a mechanical problem.

Stephen

You and Jason are TOPS on my list of people who DO CORVETTE MODS AND TUNING!

You fixed my C5 ZO6 tuning issues 100% and I'm very pleased with the results of your tuning!! Very glad to pass the PLEASURE and RESULTS along! My AC refused to work after my heads and cam install. You smiled and said NO Problem! WOW! Your tuning gave me AC and improved performance!

With your NEW shop and DYNO!!!!,,I'm ecstatic and thrilled that you will be CUTTING EDGE on making all Corvettes SPOT ON in tuning! (thats a BRITISH term for ASSUME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Thanks, Bill and Stephen.
I e-mailed him your responses and he has agreed to look at it next week because I'm out of town for Easter.
