Ok, weirdest thing happened to me this morning. I get in the car (01 Z06)to leave for work this morning, sit down and put key in the ignition (did not start the car) and realize I forgot my IPOD. I remove my keys and head back into the house. When I come back out to get in the car, what I open the door I notice that the interior lights do not come on. Only the gauge cluster and HVAC illuminate. I put the key in the ignition and the car does not start (gauges do their full sweep and fuel pump primes) it does nothing not even a noise. And the digital display says reduced engine power??? So I remove key and try again with same result. I get out of the car and try the key fob just to see if those functions are working and the key fob does nothing (not lock, unlock, trunk, nothing). I try the key in the door to see if there is some weird reset procedure like the C4's used to have, NO Dice... So I head into the garage and get a 8mm wrench and remove the + battery cable for 10 secs and reattach. Open the door all is well and car starts and runs fine. Has been fine for the rest of the day. What the heck kind of weird computer glitch could that be? Has this happened to anyone before?
