I have replaced the slave and Master on my 00 coupe, and rebuilt the trans last winter. I have been seemingly having problems with it shifting especially in the cold and the pedal feels very odd. Clutch is a centerforce dual friction 11" I beleive. The first time out after winter storage this year, the pedal felt like it was not even doing anything, and the clutch would engage right off the floor until it warmed up. Are the stock hydraulics not up to the task of this clutch? Its not like it is a hardcore clutch, but i dont understand why its having this problem. Just try to rebleed again and pray??? Should I just get a tick and be done with it? I have also broken the master mounting point twice and re-welded it, and the whole reason i replaced the master last time was that the master broke through the bracket and took the plastic ears with it.
Tick, Tick, Tick! It mounts directly to the pedal assembly so it will end the problem you had to deal with before with the twist lock set-up of the stock master mounted to the firewall.
Try this. If you have a remote bleeder on your slave try re-bleeding it a couple of times. If not, get your hands on a Mity-vac and vacuum bleed it from the top of the reservoir. That's how I used to bleed mine before the Tick install and it works very well. Maybe some air got into the system when the car was sitting all winter. Definitely worth a try before you wind up spending more money on new parts.
I have a friend on Z06Vette.com that has the same clutch as you on his bolt-on '01 Z06 and it has performed flawlessly for him and I know he's using stock hydraulics.
