Im going TPIS....... I got a messge into Tonys covetttes in MD for the install. They even recomend them and have done 100's of installs.
I looked at LGM for about 2 sec after I saw the price .......Then I looked at FLP and missed the GP for $1299 normal price will be $1599.......still too much....
For 875 shipped with the GP from LAPD that is the ideal solution, then even with 300-400 for install im still under even the FLP system with install.
Next will be heads and cam for me.......I want to put some miles on the car first.....had it 6 months and only have 2500 ....... 400 were on the way back from AC picking up the car!
thats right no welding- all bolton- you could do it in your driveway if you could get your car about 3 feet up in the air- I have read that you need this height to get the exhaust off/on.
I will be using a neigbors lift.

What do you mean by bolt on? Is there any welding at all? If not, I guess you could do the install in your driveway, right?
With just bolt-on mods and stock displacement I think the TTS headers are the best way to go. They are a few more bucks than the TPIS but their quality of build and materials more than make up for the few hundred dollar price difference.
The smaller diameter tubes of the TTS are a better match for cars not planning huge mods such as strokers or superchargers as well.
We usually always have these in stock at a great price. Drop me an email if interested in pricing or more details.

No welding? Everything I've read on this subject says that there's a stub that must be welded to the front of the main cats and then the headers bolt into that stub. I've looked into headers but so far have not taken the plunge just because of the welding needed and the inability to go back to stock. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think any header (with the exception of the LGM set which includes the cats & all) can be installed without any welding. I guess I hope I am wrong, because that would make headers more appealing to me!!!
The FLPs dont require any welding because they basically replace the whole exhaust system right from the exhaust ports on the head to the over-the-axle pipes from your cat-back exhaust system including the cats and intermediate pipe. Therefore, no welding. Other headers require some welding because you use the stock intermediate pipe and cats.
