Default Question on OBX Headers

Are OBX headers 1 7/8 or 1 3/4? I have seen both sizes in different advertisements. Thanks for any information.

I measured mines before I installed them and they are a bit smaller than 1.75, more like 1.70.

Did you measure inside or outside diameter? Thanks.

They are 1 5/8" and I believe they are advertised that way.

EDIT: People have covered it.

Actually there are several different vendors advertising different measurements: RSA Performance ads say 1 3/4 (which is 1 6/8), Spartec ad says 1 7/8, for example. The actual measurement that Chevylad took at 1.70 puts them at slightly larger than 1 5/8 and slightly smaller than 1 3/4. Not that it may make any significant difference in performance but I was curious to know given the different ads. If it has already been covered I apologize that I did not find it by searching.

If the difference is insignificant explain why 1 7/8ths headers out perform 1 3/4 headers when the difference is only 1/8th? Size matters.

Did not say that it was, I said "may not". I am not an expert and was only asking what the real size of the OBX headers were. I will leave the debate as to the difference in performance to you and the others who know more than me.
