Default Strange vent behavior with A/C

I am having a strange issue with the way my vents are blowing in my 1997 C5 coupe.

I have checked my A/C pressures, and both the low and high sides are spot on, and behave as expected.

I set the controls to maximum cold, maximum fan. The drivers side vents don't blow cold, but the passenger side vents do. I stuck a thermometer in the vents, and the driver's side was blowing 65 degrees. The passenger side was blowing 40 degrees.

If I set it to heat, then the driver's side will blow HOT air. It just won't blow cold.

What gives?

I just fixed this except my issue was cold on driver warm on passenger the problem is the actuator behind the dash is FUBAR...now you have 2 options...take half your dash out and replace the part because the gears are screwed up or do what I did and buy a headunit from an 01 or newer (I believe) as they have a logic circuit which will compensate for the issue. I replaced mine and it works like a champ...cost me $100 for a used one from a forum member but it was a plug and play solution

I suppose you could find someone local to swap controllers with first to make sure thats your issue but sure sounds like it

Check your DTCs and see if you have an actuator DTC. The DTC would be a B365, 0367, 0361 or 0363. If so turn the HVAC system OFF, clear the DTCs and then listen for the actuator to cycle when the DTCs are cleared, then turn the HVAC on and see if the DTCs remain cleared.

I had to do this 3 times before mine remained cleared.
