I have a few ideas about fabricating a cold air induction that will push air to my Blackwing by modifying the air deflectors that were originally on the car before I put on the z06 screens.
Has anyone tried this?
I remember seeing some threads once, but I can’t seem to locate them now.
I know some people will say “don’t put cheap homemade crap on a nice car like a corvette”, but I don’t need that speech. I’m not going to do anything that makes the car look cheap or unfinished.
Re: Anyone fabricated a cold air induction? (jbsblownc5)
Thanks a ton guys, this is very similar what I was thinking about except I have a Blackwing instead of the vortex.
Does anyone have a good picture of the Blackwing cold air cover? I'm thinking I can use it as the box around the filter, but wanted to see a picture before I order it.
I was also thinking of setting up mine so I could easily connect and disconnect the tubes for bad weather conditions. It would also provide for some interesting test cases at the track.
I’ll post some results in a few weeks when I get something together.
