Default valve spring swap?

Hi i have a stock ls1 and want to upgrade to ls6 valve springs will i need to get new retainers, seats, locks and seals to do so?

Makes sense to do those while you're in there. Also, if you're ordering new GM springs; they'll actually be LS7 springs, as those are now the standard for LS6 replacements. Is this all you're doing? No cam or anything?

Unless you're changing to titanium retainers just use the old ones. Change to some new viton seals, new locks, and put in some better push rods while it's apart. Unless you are dead set on GM springs, consider the PAC 1218s or 1518s as more reliable replacements. They're basically the same pressure beehive spring and they drop right in.

I know its looked down on, but i went ahead and got the hot cam kit that comes with the ls6 valve springs, because all im looking for is a nice little hp boost with good driveability nothing more i dont go to the track or anything like that so all i want is a fast nice sounding weekend toy, all i got so far is, callaway honker, 160 Tstat, coolant bypass, lg long tubes and now this cam kit,
and this is my first cam swap so was just wondering what i would need for the job if anyone could help me out that would be great
