A '01+ rod bolt has never failed on a LS6 and the LS6 isn't going to be spun over 6700rpms, so I don't see a need to upgrade the bolts to $150 Katech bolts or $80 thicker ARP bolts. I was just wondering if the stock gm rod bolts were reuseable.

I'm confused. You already know that a 2001+ rod bolt has never failed on an LS6 (not spun over 6700 rpm), and you know that GM says the rod bolts are reusable.....and upgrading is not a consideration.

What's the question?
The question is if -If they are in fact reuseable? Because I was told by 2 reptuable shops that they weren't reuseable and I was also told by another 2 reptuable shops that they were reuseable. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with reusing them.

I have seen them re-used, even though you're not supposed to. However that's the absolute last place on the entire powertrain I'd be trying to save money. What a pain in the *** it is when a rod bolt fails.
