Service column lock message right after headlight install?
Is there a connection between the headlight actuators and column lock? I just installed brass gears for the headlight actuators completed passenger side (driver side was still curing) plugged it all back up to see if it would work. With the headlights up manually I then turned the lights on and the headlights went down and the light turned on. Then I turned the light off then the headlights went up with the lights off. At this point I was confused so I just disconnected everything and let it sit for a few hours till the driver side actuator was cured and ready for install. Once I installed the driver side I processed to turn the lights back on and everything worked perfectly for the driver side but the passenger side lights come on but doesn’t go up or down. At this point I needed to move the car so I hopped in and realized a message over the DIC saying “remove key for 10 seconds” which I did of course. Tried starting it again same message appeared all I needed to do is move the car a few feet so I processed to move and the car died. Basically my question is did the headlight control module go out and is the HCM and the SCL problem related?

You may have just run your battery down a little low working on the lights. Those 2 systems are not related. Charge your battery up to full charge and see it that fixes at least the CLB issue. B\G
Ok thanks guys,
So I need to charge my battery that’s the problem. By the way I have already cleared all the codes from the DIC by holding options and pressing reset and I installed the CLB discounted the negative battery for ten minutes and fuses 25 ,29 and 23.
I hope this works i cant afford to miss work anymore due to no vehicle.
