Default Callaway Honker replace coupler?

Anyone with a honker replace the accordion style coupler on it? I was curious about this since it is actually hard plastic. Seems that it is the worst of both worlds...inflexible, and not the best airflow. Looking at pictures I assumed it was rubber.

Callaway has the part in stock if you need one. I had to go to a silicone coupler when I installed the FAST.

I have the plastic one but might replace it with silicone since it might fit and flow better. Where did you get yours? Do you remember the size?

I am thinking of doing the same thing. I don't like the hard plastic accordion coupler and would like to go to some sort of silicon coupler.

I got mine from a Ricer turbo web site, they had all kinds of stuff and different colors too. Not sure why you don't like the Callaway, it is much better then the silicone and if I could get it to work I would prefer it.

It's not horrible, but I would think something smooth would pass the air through a little cleaner. Most likely not going to make a big differentce, but it is was cheap enough to swap out I might.

Callaway did a lot of testing on it so I would think it is a good flowing setup. The silicone coupler will run you around $40 with shipping and then I had to trim mine to fit it up correctly.

Shoot a PM to mcv ( Mike Vendetto) at Callaway and get his input. They usually don't introduce a product without a lot of testing and I know their coupler is more expensive to make then a silicone coupler.
