Ive been doing all kinds of searching and cant find out if the QA1 rear single adjusting coilovers call for you to remove the Leafspring? The part number I ordered is # HAL-TC3020P . Im sure they will come with instructions but I got the shocks out now and wanting to get it ready for the install when these things come Monday. Anyone with experience?
Thanks for the reply.. there double adjustable but they didnt come with springs so I guess the QA1's dont require removal of the leaf springs. dont know. Im installing them now. Any more tips or info from the Vette guys running the QA1 double adjustable shocks would be very appreciated
i have single adjustable QA1's...don't remove the leaf with yours...as far as adjestment i'm surprised no one chimed in...on my singles i drive them normal driving 7 clicks from the lowest setting (slightly stiffer than stock) on all four wheels...when drag racing i go 3 clicks from the lowest setting in the front and 7 clicks from the lowest in the back (car squats hard and the nose jumps up hard.
with my singles, every shift the nose dives for a sec and bounces back up...with doubles you can set them so the nose stays up and never drops down during shifts...trial and error always works west...goodluck
Your first post says they are coilovers. Your second post says they don't have springs?
There not coilovers if they don't have springs. There just shocks then regardless if they're adjustable. Shocks with coil springs around them would necessitate removing the leaf spings.
