I have had a significant (in my opinion) amount of water under my car recently. I've owned the car for about a year, and honestly don't remember seeing this much last summer. I am pretty sure it is AC condensation. I've even tasted it, and it is water.
I've read many of the posts about drips and leaks, many saying that having water on the ground is normal. Should there be so much that it forms a small stream?
I remember when my drain was plugged last summer and when I un-plugged it about a half gallon filled my drain pan i had under the car. I cut my drain hose and I get a lot of water on the ground.

Thanks, John
It won't be the same amount all the time, as the build up is precipitated by temp/humidity.
During one of our cruises I saw a C5 A/C unit dripping that I was following on the highway. It was enough to make me think he had a bad coolant hose. If it is humid out then the amount will be quite a bit from what I have seen.
I live 40 miles north of Houston (very humid). The day after driving with the AC on and then parking in the garage I need to use a floor squeegee to remove the water.
So I found this thread when trying to figure out of hearing a steady dripping sizzling noise from the AC condensate drain is normal! Wow what a strange design. I thought I had a coolant leak!
Has anyone relocated or extended the drain to not drip onto the exhaust? I know it's not a big problem but the sound of water dripping on a hot exhaust bothers me, and I need to wonder if this will lead to some corrosion issues wherever it's dripping on long term.

Not typical for the tube to drain directly onto the exhaust.
