Man, every track is different. I've launched at 4000 and spun all the way thru 1st, came back and launched at 3500 and bogged, thats with Nt05r's drag radials. Then broke the rear on the third pass. Your just gonna have to find the sweet spot with street tires and it will be much different with dr's. Good luck
Yeah everyone and their mom will come in and chime what they did, how they did it etc etc. Like 99vetteran each car is differnt and each track is differnt, you're just going to have to play around with tire pressure and launch RPM's and see what works.
Will 275/40/17s work on the back if I get some stock 17" front rims?
That's the size I use.
Hoosier drag radials. They stick great but don't last long if you use them on the street.
Sounds like you're getting some track wheels though, so you should be good.
Track times will vary from car to car and track to track.
Best thing to do is practice and see what works for you. Measure your success against what you've done in the past.
