Default Need Help With A Warning Light

The low washer fluid warning light came on the other day and when I checked the fluid level it was low. I filled it up with fluid and the warning keeps re-appearing every time I start the car. I rechecked the fluid thinking I may have a leak, however it is still full.

I can get rid of the message by pressing reset, however it keeps coming back.

Any ideas?

the little sensor that reads washer fluid levels gets corroded with water deposits--It is propbably stuck--- try taking it out and cleaning with some simple green or something else to break up the corrosion-

Mine did the same thing a few years back. I took the sensor out and noticed it is a sealed unit.

Worked with it for quite a while, then started calling to get a replacement. Well, sure enough, it is a "dealer only" item.

Now for the BAD part, it costs right at $90.00

When you do re-install it, be sure to clock it so it falls downward as the level falls.

Good Luck

Thanks folks, I'm out of town traveling, but will take a look when I get home tomorrow. If it's corrosion and cleaning it fixes it then great. Not sure I'm ready to spend $90 if cleaning doesn't solve the problem
