side differential cover removal
need help i am in the process of changing l.r. axle seal and side cover seal and am confused how to remove stud between trans and differential any info much appreciated i have 2002 c5 thanks for your help

Take the nut off & take it and buy two jam nuts in the same thread size.Jam 2 nuts together & back the stud out. May have to apply heat in immediate area surrounding the stud The raised area where the stud resides in. ( Be care full if you do, things will be all right). Good luck.
