Default wiper/washer switch replacement

All,

I need to replace my wiper washer switch on 02 vert (it signals for the washer motor to run whenever it desires and sometimes will not stop). I have a new switch, just need to get started.

Is there a thread on removing either this switch or the turn signal arm from the steering column? Been searching for a while this morning with no luck.

Thanks

are you certain it's the switch? In most cases when this happens, it's the motor assembly causing the issue.

I think it is the switch itself. For a while I could effect a repair by gently pulling the washer push button out of the end of the switch arm and resetting it, but over time it has required multiple attempts to work. In the meanwhile the washer pump runs, even after it is out of fluid.

I'm fairly confident it is the switch, but it wouldn't the 1st time I've replaced something that wasn't broken.

Well, it your car, and your money. If you want to do all that work, without being 100% certain.....up to you

Good luck.
