Acceleration noise

When I'm on the freeway (doing 70 of course)...when I'm touching the accelerator, I get a light "whine" from the back of the car. The instant I take my foot off the gas it stops, and the instant I put it back on, the noise comes back. Sounds a little like the tires grabbing on a rough surface, but it is definately throttle related. Any ideas?

How long has it had this noise? Has the diff lube ever been changed?

Sounds like you have a pinion bearing on the way out, don't wait get it pulled and fixed before it wipes out the gear set!

I have the same whine. It's coming from my new diff with 3.90's installed. Did you make any changes to your diff?

I have that problem, too. It's throttle-position and speed related, not transmission related. The only thing I've done to the drive train is replace the fluid twice. Changing the diff fluid didn't help anything. It'll probably cost $1000 to fix.
