Default quick 2001 intake question

This intake manifold on a regular 2001 C5 is the same as on the z06, and would be an upgrade for my 98, correct? Just making sure. 01 was the first year all vetes came with z06 intakes?

Also, where can I gets these plugs and blocks people talk about for the install? Why are these needed? I know the mod above alone may not do much, but I may be able to get one for $300, and a few people claim to feel this mod on the butt dyno :D

kurt the plugs and block off tubes should come with the manifold, make sure you get 2002 intake manifold because they made a change in the them versus the 2001 manifold. burt

I just got my LS6 manifold for my 98, but the dealer has the plugs on back order. My new manifold did not come with the pipe and plugs everyone talks about but you must need them?? The part numbers are 2-12562788 plugs and 1-12568478 pipe. I know someone out there has more info on this and will chime in.
