Hey guys! I have a garage kept 2001 mag red convertible Vette. When I first bought it I did not have a garage and it saw sunlight all day for about 6 years. I used to wax it once a month for protection. I have fading and wear and tear issues on paint but no major problems. The clear coat is intact. When is the best way to fix the minor scratches and bring paint back to life. Please include brand names and any equipment I may need. Thanks in advance.

You will get a lot of responses here, with lots of products that people will swear by, Zaino, Zymoil Adams etc. Bottom line, if you know what you are doing, and have the correct tools to do it with, you will get superb results.
I choose to Clar bar first to remove everything down to the clear-coat, then Mirror Glaze (Meguire's Professional label) using Show Car Glaze #7 and then High Tech Yellow #26.
I use my random orbital and micro-fiber towels. Follow instructions and enjoy.
most professionals will take a buffing wheel and polish the whole car for you for around 200 bucks. it actually takes a lot of skill to do a professional buffing job.
I use a prter cable as well, the 7424 model to be exact. My vette is black and had swirls all over. I used Rubbing compound on it and after I was done it looked like glass.
I washed the car, clayed the car. Then got the Buffer out with Turtle Wax Medium to heavy compound and went to town. Then I waxed it. It did take a while but it was well worth it.
