Speed Sensor or Speedometer???
Thursday on the track my speedometer started acting erratically. It would read OK up to about 40 mph then jump around or quit till I hit about 100 mph then read fairly well till the next corner. Is this usually the speed sensor needing replacement or is my speedometer unit getting ready to die completely? Any experiences out there??

Havent experienced anything like that but I had my differential replaced a few weeks ago and my speedometer doesnt work at all. It might not even be plugged in but if it is then I'll be in the same boat as you

Try this: Set the DIC to instantaneous fuel mileage and watch it. It divides speed from the sensor and fuel flow. If this gage is steady at any given speed, then your speed sensor is OK--if it jumps around like the speedo, then the sensor is bad.
