I've started my C6 sway bar swap starting with the rear...removing the old end links was easy once I realized that they were plastic and disposable...and breakable!!
Now as I go to put the new thick bar on with its new bushings I realize the old clamp won't come close to fitting ...
Its now 6:30 on the West Coast so the only places open will be Home Depot.
Will any heavy U-clamp do....as long as it fits....????
Okay this is why I'm paid to do something totally unrelated to mechanics......after some frantic searching it suddenly dawned on me that I was trying to fit the front sway bar on the rear...if anyone is wondering...they aren't interchangeable....
i don't know if it is funnier that you wanted to put a home depot clamp on your corvette or that you did not look at both bars and the ones already on the car to figure which went where.
