Default Ls1 / fast 90 ?

I need a little help from my friends here. I already searched and found the answers to some of my questions. I have a chance to snag a used FAST 90 intake, but have a few questions to see if it's worth it. When it's all said and done, I have a stock '99 fixed roof coupe with long tubes, Borlas and Haltech CAI.. The fast 90 is really only a deal if I can limit anything else I need to buy...otherwise I'll just keep a lookout for a used LS6 intake and call it a day.

Will the Fast 90 work with my stock throttle body? If not, what is needed?
Will my stock fuel rails and injectors work?

Thanks

The FAST 90 will NOT work with your STOCK TB. It requires the use of a LS2 90 mm TB. You will also need to install a conversion wiring harness to convert the LS1/6 TB wiring to the LS2 single plug connection.

Thanks Bill.

Any idea about the fuel rails?

Is there a preferred place/ company to get the conversion harness?

What does a used LS2 90mm TB go for?

Stock fuel rails will work

I would have to do some checking to see where I got my harness from

You can find some used LS2 TBs for a good price, but I when I installed mine, I had to spend some extra $$ to get it ported before it ran properly. When I installed it stock, it was a DOG on the bottom end. Had it ported, and all was well.

IMPO, unless it is a HECK of a deal, I'd spend my $$ on something that would give more bang for the buck. The Fast 90 really needs some good flowing H/C to make it perform

Thanks. So now I have it down to needing a throttle body and conversion harness.

Heads and cam are not to far off in the distance future..so I was kinda getting it ready to go that direction a few steps at a time without doing stuff twice. I'd like to get it to the point where all I have left is the heads and cam and drive it for a bit..then finish it up later as time and $$$ permits.

I'm doing a little at a time on my 2000 FRC as well. I just put cam/headers on it.

I was going to put an LS2 intake on my 2000 FRC with a 90mm throttle body but was told the LS6 intake with my stock throttle body would make more power. Kind of surprised me, I thought the LS2/90mm would flow better.

My search on here has told me the same thing..but I'm trying to get it set up for later. I'm willing to give up a little now for the end goal.

Thanks for the pics Bill...I found some of those during my search already. I'm a little behind/new the LS1 game. I know a lot of people have already gone down the path I'm on now..which makes life easier on me. I've been running a Ford for quite some time. I decided after I drove a friends Z06 that I wanted to do something other than go fast in a straight line. I have a fox-body with a 408 stroker and Jerico 4-speed that runs 9's ...I've come to realize I enjoy the process of building them more than the end product.

The TB. It was very strange actually. The car had always had a strong off idle and low end (10.9cr), but after the Fast/ TB install, it seemed to lose tons of torque and it's off idle transition. I sent it to a popular "porter" to clean it up, and it was back to normal, and was crisp again

I bought my harness form Casper electronics
