What is the most common reason that a headlight does not poop up.
one side comes on and pops up as normal and the other does not pop up it does come on. Any Idea and best fix!

Most common is a broken gear. A new brass gear will fix it if that's your issue.

i have the same issue that i am trying to pinpoint now. it is intermittent. sometimes neither will come up, if i keep trying 1 may come up or both may come up. if the one that doesn't come up is put up manually then it will work. i just replaced the gears so i know that they are not the issue. also i have hid's but i have had them for a year with no issues. this problem started after i had the head light buckets out to put in the new gears. the only thing i have done so far is spray the ts stalk base and the plugs on the module with contact cleaner. did not fix the problem. is there any way to tell for sure if the module is bad?

I don't think you can test it not that I know of. Have you tried hitting you high beams to see if they would go down? The reason I say that is most guys with hids have to have a resistor to get the lights to go down if not they have to hit the high beams. Your case is different since you said you didn't have any issues but I would give it a try. A new module is about 125.

yes most of the time i have to put them on high beam to get them to go down, i knew this when i installed them and don't have a problem with it. i have a resistor coming as we speak from jwmotoring. but my issue started after pulling the head light buckets to install new gears. seems like once i get them to come up i can cycle them up and down and they work just fine. i need to listen to a friends cause it does seem like mine are slow in going up when they do work. do you know what the module does exactly>? thanks for any info
