Default Tac module questions!

I'm using alot of C5 parts so I'm hoping this is the right section.

Do I have to match the pedal, TAC module and throttle body or just pedal and Tac module? Does it all have to match the Ecm?

I really need a 100% for sure answer on this one. Thanks in advance.

Info on the powertrain: 2k5 LQ4, DBW TB from 2k2 Z06, ECU is 2k6 Silverado SS , but have 2k2 Z06 ECU also.

The TAC for a silverado and C5 are different, as are the APP sensors. The silverado only has 2 APP sensors, while the C5 has 3. You will also have to resolve the serial data communication between the PCM and TAC. Finally, I'm not sure what type of security features the silverado has, but the BCM and the PCM from a C5 communicate to enable the fuel injectors, and starter.

Just look at the schematics, and it will be clear.

Unless the Silverado has Throttle by wire system, the non-TBW(PCM) Powertrain Control Module will not work on a LS engine tha uses TBW.

The Throttle By Wire (TBW) system must have a PCM that Is TBW capable.

You have to have a Accelerator Peddle Position Sensor, Throttle Body with a Throttle position sensor and a Throttle Control Module.

All the C5 TAC modules will work BUT,,,the early TAC modules are not desireable and anything 99+ is more desireable. The early TAC modules had issues and a TSB was issued to detail those issues and directed modules that displayed the issues be replaced with a 99+ TAC.

My service manual only goes up to 2005. Below are the TAC schematics for the 2002 corvette, and 2005 silverado respectively.

Thanks for the quick replies!

I need to be more clear. Can I use the C5 TAC module and pedal with the Silverado SS Harness,ECU and TB (Silverado stuff is drive by wire only)? I'm not using cruise control.

The complication is all because I'm swapping in the 6.0 into my C4 but using a lot of C5 and Silverado parts AND I'm wanting to use DBW instead of cable.

The silverado harness only has provisions for 2 APP sensors, while the C5 APP sensor(s) has 3 outputs, so trying to use the silverado harness, with a C5 tac module...won't get it done.
