How do you know it is the leaf springs and not the end links on the sway bars?
Typically what I have read is that the metal end links for the sways both rattle and squeak over time as the lubrication drys up and the metal rusts.
Good question. I do not know the answer. I thought it was the leaf springs and did not think about the end links. Is there a way to add a lubrication material to the end links or is it simpler and better to buy and install new end links?
It isn't the leaf springs. or the end links.. it's the sway bar bushings... 2 in the front and two in the rear... these rubber bushings wear off the paint on the sway bars and rust forms,, this dry rust causes the squeaking sound you are hearing , removing the bushings and cleaning the rust and lubing with a non- petro grease will fix this very very common problem.. make sure you torque to spec when re installing.

I would suggest a couple wraps of teflon tape rather than grease.
I would not suggest teflon tape.. the sway bar bushings have a waffle weave inside and when compressed will grab the tape, the idea is the waffle weave hold some dielectric or silicone grease... the waffle wears off the paint, the grease is the best method, the waffle design was specific for this application.. the inside og the bushing will tear up the tape... I dont care what ayone who suggests this says... I know better. the teflon changes the O.D. and ruins the very specific torque spec for these sway bars.
Thank you for the replies. Sorry I have been gone and not able to reply. I have both dielectric and silicone grease and the stock rubber nothing poly at this time. Thank you again for the help. I hope to get to it next weekend instead of this weekend now.
Dielectric silicone grease ,used with the stock rubber bushings will squeak.
I tried it,that's how I know.
Couple wraps of teflon tape did the trick for my squeak problem.(and road grime doesn't stick to it like it does grease)
Changing the OD of the sway bar by a couple of thousandths with the teflon isn't going to hurt anything, might even make up for the normal wear in the bushing bore ,IMO.

did you get around to doing this?
I have a front end squeak on a stock c5 z, lowered on stock bolts. Happens on the the step-up from the driveway up to the garage floor and on streets with nice dips that compress the front suspension. I know its up front and probably on the driver's side and I HATE it.
