Default Puffer on a stock LS1

Please don't think I'm crazy but I am looking just a little boost (pardon the pun) over stock. I don't plan on dragging the car but I would like to poke it on the interstate once in a while(no I did not say race it). Is there a turbine (belt driven procharger style) blower that will give me a little boost with out over boosting a stock lower end? I don't want a car on the ragged edge that it becomes un-dependable. If so what brands should I look at?

I always wonder where these "undependable" comments come from. With a properly tuned engine, and a non-abusive driver, it's just as dependable as stock. I run 10 psi(A&A kit) on a stock bottom end. I do not thrash my car. I enjoy exploring the extra power when accelerating on occasion. I might make it to the strip once per year, and it will never be road raced. The blower has been on almost two years, and the dependability has not changed one bit from stock.

I have four friends running A&A Vortech kits on their stock LS2's with a little less boost than what lucky is running, 6-7 PSI. They have had no problems and thoroughly enjoy their cars.

hai and welcome to the forum

perhaps search a little. considering nearly ANY of the many kits on the market today can do what you want.

Lots of options, proceed to the C5 FI/Nitrous section. Shout out to Franklin, I grew up in Columbus and Greenwood.

I've been running an A&A kit with 10#'s for 15,000 miles & haven't had the first problem yet. Except the excelerated rear tire wear problem that appears occasionally. Also the car now has about 90,000 miles.

I bought my DSC-1 in 2003. I put 40,000 miles on it and its never been rebuilt. My engine is built to race, so I run it hard. You determine how much power the supercharger will deliver with your foot. It will deliver acceleration until you take your foot off the gas.

Have fun
