I have a friend purchasing a new Corsa Extreme for his C-5.. It suggests also getting the X pipe. What exactly will be lost, or gained by addign the X-pipe.
I had a Corsa Sport system on my C-6 and did not have the Xpipe so I was wondering if it is really necessary?
What's keeping me from getting an X-pipe to complement my catback is I don't want to lose the popping on decel. I have also read that an X-pipe will quiet down the exhaust sound. I will keep my stock H-pipe.
I have a stock C5 and just installed the Corsa Xtreme last week. It sounds awesome at WOT until the car shifts at high RPM. The sound that happens then is horrible. My LG Street Series headers with hi flow cats and x-pipe (on its way) will eliminate that. I recommend him getting the x-pipe if he isnt going to get a header system that has one. The xtreme sounds awesome though I love it. The h-pipe sound is not even in the same league as the x-pipe sound.

Depending on the exhuast you have that is a good thing (quiet down). Also your losing HP with that H-pipe esp if you have long tubes.

I have B&B Bullets with a Corsa-X, and still have a lot of decel crackle. Not as much as I had with that P.O.S. factory H-pipe, but it's still quite pronounced.
And that motorboat sound is just awful. You have to get an X-pipe if for no other reason.
