I was thinking I should have gone a tad bigger 228r or the split 224/228 cam. other option was a LG G5x1
basically I want a street torque monster... don't care about power in the 5800rpm+ range and the car is hardly up there that high except for fun runs on the highway..
I want gobs of power in the 1500-5800 rpm range I have not installed that cam so it's not too late...
I want street friendly manner, lots of stop and go traffic etc...

I was told my texas speed that the advance is already built into the cam and should install it straight up not degree it? 110-111 ICL is that similar to lsa?
would I benefit any by getting a g5x1 or a 224/228 cam?
I don't want to leave out 20hp 20ft tq if I dont have to without giving up driveability..
other mods are Lt headers, catless mids, corsa touring, vararam, ported tb and ls6 intake manifold.. hp tuners tuned basic tune

No....ICL....Installed centerline....where you install the cam based on the centerline of the intake lobe. A 114 LSA cam (lobe seperation angle) can be installed stright up at 114 or advanced or retarded. See how much advance TSP claims to put in the cam...you would want 3-4 degrees if your following my recommendation.
LSA cant change....its ground into the cam....but you can move around the ICL by crank keyway changes and offset cam dowel bushings if need be.
Sounds like you may want to do some more reading perhaps or just enlist the help of a shop or individual you trust.
And a bigger cam wont make more torque....it will just shift the torque peak later in the power curve (hence bringing in some additional top end power) at the expense of low speed torque. If you want to maximize under 6K, install this cam where I advised you to and I think you will be very pleased.....of course you will get ten different opinions if you ask a dozen different people. Your job is to figure out who's advice to take.

This is a similar build to my 2003 Coupe.
I went with a 224/230 .585/.595 113. Great street manners, Tons of power throughout the entire range. I Mustang dyno'ed at 416 rwhp and 392 rwtq.
so don't sell the 224r and get the G5x1 or 224/228 is what u guys are saying?
will I miss out on some power by not going the 224/228 or 228/232 route?

also how much difference in power will a 112 vs 114 lsa be? same cam?
people talk about 112 will hit harder and faster how much faster rpm wise?
114 will be smoother idle for sure, that much I know
Tom and I have both run this almost same cam. It works and you will still get 28 mpg on a trip.
28 mpg? Oh Oh yah. If I get 5 mpg I am lucky, 3000 to redline, WOT.
But I do mention, out of a corner on a road race course, from 40-45 mph UP too redline 3rd gear, 100 mph, a C6Z can not pass me. Over 125 mph I am toasted.
But most road course are short straights in 3rd gear then corners.

I doubt if you'd get more than 10 add'l HP by getting a 228-232 cam, and the extra HP is only at the top of the rev band, where you say you won't be that much. Get a 112 if you want more lope, and a114 if you want slightly more street friendly/ tunable. The emphasis is on SLIGHTLY. If you've got a great tuner, go for the bigger cam, because a good tuner can make it drive more like stock. OTOH, you've already got a cam, and I don't think it's worth the extra cash to only go slightly bigger.
I am considering a Livernois 228/228 566/566 lsa 114 for the same good street torque curve. Am I on track, and I see some lsa #s listed as xxx+4, what is the plus 4 for?

Generally, yes you will gain a bit more top end power as the cam gets bigger (within limits). But, that increase in top end power generally comes at a decrease in low end power.
If you want to boost the low end power then, in general, you have to increase the lift (or better yet the area under the lift curve) without increasing the duration too much.
You also didn't post your other parts, but the stock heads become limiting with the bigger cams so you don't see all the gains the cam could have given you.
As with almost everything in life, it's a trade-off.
now I picked up a pair of 243 heads, reconsidering my cam choise
now thinking torquer v2 232/234, .595"/.598" how would this cam rate as a DD cam instead of the 224/224 cam on a .581 114?
will I loose anything down low say 2-4k rpm range.. allot of guys are recommending this cam over the 224r cam any input installing next week a few guys also recommended a asa cam 226/236 110lsa that will be nuts on a daily basis I think... huge split in intake/exhaust duration
Go with the Torquer. I started with the TSP228 114lsa wasn't thrilled; so I went with cam in SIG, just right. Mine is pretty tame and would make a great daily driver; spent a lot of time with HPTuners data logging though.
