Need help,overheating issue

I have a 2002 heads cam car. It has a 160* thermostat. The last 2 times ive driven in town with the air on it has went to 230*. When running on highway the temp is fine. When i turn the air off in town it runs a little cooler.I have never had a problem with it running hot. When i got home today it was at 210,no city driving.I looked underneath at the fans 1 was running the other wasnt. I have burped the system twice.
Need ideas,im stumped.

Dont remember at what temp the fans come on. Nothing clogging the fan, turns freely with my hand.

just a thought you may want to back wash or back blow air through the core because they will plug overtime.

It sounds like you have an inop fan.

I just checked the fuses,they are good. The only things left to check are the relays & fan motor. How do i check the relays to see if they are good. I am not very good with electrical stuff.

Another solution is to purchase one new relay and then one at a time swap the new with 43, 44, and 45 and check after each swap to see if the system operation changes. If the system operation changes then the last swapped relay is bad. If there is no change then either the motor is bad or the wiring to the fan is damaged, or loose.

Thats a great idea, buy one relay to find the bad one. I hooked up a 12 volt battery to the fan that wasnt working. The fan works. I guess the only thing left is a relay. How often does a relay go bad?
