Problem with F45 Sims
I swapped the sims left to right and still get a right front code. I ohm'ed out the sims and the lines and everything looks fine. It throws the codes intermittenly.
I decided to call the dealer to get the F45 programmed out and the dealer tells me it is against GM policy to change the program in the car! First they tell me it can't be done! When I give them proof that it can be done they throw the GM policy at me! Has anyone ever heard of this?
Guess I am into chasing wires!
Anyone know of somebody in the San Jose area that has a Tech 2?
Essentially the control module sends a voltage to the shock and looks for it to come back. (ergo through the 10 ohm resistor) It is either a busted wire on the voltage side or on the return. I did not get a chance to check it out with voltage on it, but it should not be a problem. Just going tohave to chase it down. The manual is pretty good at calling out all the connections.
I have flat had it with stealerships. Those A wholes will tell you anything. No wonder American car companies are failing. To think a Service manager in a large dealership that sells one heck of a lot of cars and a LOT OF CORVETTES will tell me that it can't be done in the first place is a big strike! I mean it is really bad when a customer has to explain to them how the car is designed to work!
