I had the plugs changed on my 2001 C5 A4...I don't put a lot of miles on this car so it is very low mileage but I thought as it is over 9 years old and I didn't want the OE plugs to weld themselves into the heads so...
Replaced the OE Platinum Densos (AC was on strike at the time) and they looked fine...OE Packard branded plug wires also appeared fine and since my source for the GM Hotwires (red) couldn't get them to me (back ordered) I kept the originals...
New plugs are AC Rapidfire Performance Platinum #12s these are the newer ones without the splined insulator tip...I bought these a few years back so I had them available...went in no problems and seem to be operating like any new plugs would be...
I know some wondered how the Rapidfire's were in a C5 and there was little information out there...I've added little more but there it is...
'preciate your response...I was sorry I couldn't report that I get 5 more miles to the gallon, the LS idle lump wasn't cured and I gained 10 horsepower to the rear wheels...like you can with an exhaust system or the K&N air filter swap...
