Seriously considering the MGW shifter as my first mod. To those of you who have one do you prefer the short or longer version? Really don't have access to any to try. Guess you could buy the extra and have a leftover but seems that would be sort of redundant.

Thanks for any replies.

Great first mod.. You will love either. Call George at MGW. He will ask you the pertinent questions to determine which is best for you.

It's a great part. The shift effort is a little stiffer, but easy enough. Take it for a ten minute drive and you won't remember the difference. The short length shifter is fine.

The MGW shifter is an awesome mod you'll enjoy - makes the vette even more fun to drive. I also installed one in my new Mustang. Excellent quality!

Short for me. I don't mind the extra effort, as long as it feels snug, it's worth it to me.

Shorter version. As everyone says, it will loosen up over time. It took a lot longer then 10 minutes from me. But it is great from the start and keeps getting better.

I have the shortest of all 3. It's the one that accepts the C6 ****.

And by the way, I LOVE this shifter !

I've been through 5, yes 5 shifters and this is by far the best one.
