After suffering for a year with the hot driver side and cold passenger side and adding freon, I finally bit the bullet and bought a new accuator. Spent 4 hours installing it today with the up under dash system. The accuator is actually easier to get to than I thought but my long arms didn't help. I removed my driver seat and put a pillow in its place so I could lay in there more comfortably. Of course the biggest time consumer is removing the waterfall on vert, console, shift ****, boot, radio faceplate, knee bolster, etc etc etc. Once it's all out the accuator is quite easy. Anyway... Shes' blowing COLD again......!! I didn't want to do the indexing method as I was afraid if I got it all apart I would find a broken gear rather than bad teeth so I bought a new 2002 accuator. Found bad teeth, so now I will index and have a spare. 2 weeks of 85-90 in Michigan got me moving...
I will try to get a picture, but really not carnage. Just 2 of the plastic teeth worn about half off. Don't look that bad, but I guess just enough to lock it up. Ran it 300 miles today with nice cold air.
