I thought the importation problem was exhaust noise - decibel levels - from the Z06 ti exhaust.
That is the story I heard as well.
As a side note all Euro Vetts get red calipers like the Z06. I thought that was interesting. I wonder what other Z06 parts they get and what U.S options might be standard or unavailable.
I am on active duty in Germany are vehicles do not fall under the TUV standards. We can register vehicles as US specs. The importation problem was exhaust noise - decibel levels, and I think gas mileage and transmittion heat with the lower gears is an issue also.

The Movit Porsche brakes kits are awesome. Porsche brakes have to be some of the best available. They spend a TON of money on braking systems. The rotors are reasonably priced, have the holes cast in, and can be bought at any Porsche dealership (same with the pads). They have very little fade and stop like crazy.
There are some wheel limitations for the front (stock wheels are okay) and you have to notch the hub on the C5 to mount the kit.
All in all, a great way to go if you need to upgrade the brakes.
