I have some new coil harnesses that have been separated from the coil bracket. Is there an easy way to determine which lead on the coil harness goes to which coil? Does it matter?
I dont fully understand what your doing and what your question is???
Each coil has some common wires, like 12 vdc power & ground but each coil harness has a coil trigger signal wire that needs to go to the coil pack for that specific cylinder.
Yes it matters, look at the clip that plugs into the coil and see if there is a number from 1-8 on it. Been a while since I looked at a stock harness, I have them made for me and the clips are numbered.

Ah, I see now. Each coil lead has a common black, brown, and pink wire. But then each lead has a separate coil trigger wire (colors are purple, light blue, green, and red). Now I just need to determine which coil trigger wire color goes with which cylinder. It looks like:
All the coils (individually) are the same. There interchangeable. you dont have any problems. As long as the coil wiring harness plugs are in the same location on the bracket, you should be fine.
