HELP: turn signals = buzzer

HELP: turn signals = buzzer
I recently bought a 2000 Coupe to make a track car. I've done some wiring for switches to various electrical items.
I drove the car the other day and when I use the turn signal or the hazard flasher I hear a warning buzzer and the indicators will not flash.
I was doing some dyno work after I had this happen. Driving back home the signals started working. Didn't think anything of it.
Today at the track, 2 of my switches wired to a cigarette lighter hot wire were dead. I checked and the fuse was blown. (the items wired to these switches don't use much power and should not have shorted on anything.
I replaced the fuse and got power to the 2 switches. But now the turn signals and the hazard lights won't work again. I get the buzzer again.
What the heck? Any ideas what is causing the buzzer?
I'm at the track this weekend so I don't need turn signals. But would like to figure it out.
