Default Exhaust Question

I'm sure this has been asked a million times, Sorry... I'm new to the Corvette World. All my other cars end up with Flowmaster Mufflers on them, however I don't see anything posted in the Corvette World about using them. I don't want real loud or droning while cruising but do want something more than the stock C-5 exhaust.. Any help?

You'll see a little bit about Flowmasters here and there if you''ll do asearch but compared to other systems for the C5 out there they're pretty much junk.

welcome to vettes or us aka as nuts or us

Your 1st question is probably one of the most "discussed" items on the forum and the sound of your vette is going to be a personal thing.

I suggest going to a local vette, car cruise, club drive in and listen in person!!!!......ask if the car has been modified and what it sounds like at idle and at cruise

you can spend a fortune ; I have had 5 differant systems on two vettes
one with just headers and tune and my current very modified one that I want louder..........

btw I have a set of Corsa Touring for sale in c5 parts section-go figure

again welcome and go ahead and start sucking up for mo money because the mod bug has already bitten ya

You do realize that you can't make it sound like a 67 Chevelle SS 396? The firing order won't let it sound that way.

I know its not going to sound like any of my past or present muscle cars. All these LS engines kinda got that Indy car sound, thats fine I just want to gain a little performance and hear it..
When I need to hear that old school sound I can start my 65 GTO or my 87 Grand National that no longer has the V6 in it but has instead a 455 Buick ...LOL

I would look at Corsa Pacecar with an X pipe if you're planning to keep the stock manifolds. This is a great sound!
