Default seat/exit memory

i have this problem with the drivers seat memory.
It will not go back to the setting I've set it to.
the left outside mirror is like it has a preset poisson i have to reset the mirror 99 times out of a 100.some times the seat will go all the way forward when i take the key out, some times the seat will go all the way forward when i open the door.the right side mirror moves to a deferent place at times also.all this is real aggravating at times.Help........

Your car's memory is dependent on the key fob. If you flip over the fobs you'll see a 1 and a 2. Those settings correspond with the 1 and 2 on the doors memory settings.

Make sure you're using the right set of key fobs first and report back.

Are you the only one that drives the car? You can turn off the memory settings, so that your seat and mirrors are always in the same position everytime you get in the car.. Just like the good old days

By looking in your owners manaul. If you don't have one, Gene Culley is nice enough to offer free downloads.

one of my favorite things about the internet is that it gives people an outlet to say things that they could never say in real life. Or at least they couldnt say them and not be called an A Hole.

I could be said that your post just proves the point of your post. It’s all good and as said, it sort of adds to the entertainment value of the forum!

dang circular logic....

In any case, The manual did prove of some value with shutting off the memory function on the seat, but the mirrors are where my real issues are. anyone with imput on that would really make my day.

There are two memory settings in your car (1) and (2) on the drivers door control switch. Those number relate to the key fobs. If you look at the back of the key fobs you see a (1) and (2).

Take key set (1) and make the adjustments you want and the hold and press (1) on the door panel to lock in your settings.

Then just use key set (1) from now on and you'll have no problems.

FYI, I don't know of it is year dependent but, my '03 has three settings. The third is when you push both buttons together. I have heard some use it just to point the mirrors down to see the curb(s) to park.

Yeah, I have heard of that, but since I don't really parallel park next to curbs, I have no use to try it.

But it is always good to know your options.
