Question on OBDII code P0410
Situation was this.
The moron who had my car before Corvette Mike, removed the aftermarket cat-back exhaust and installed a stock system. This was done at a small used car dealer. The weld came loose and the car was loud as crap !!! Luckily my Son was able to get to a garage and the mechanic welded it up permanently and professionally.
He did ride around for 20 minutes or so with it loud though.
And on the ride home, {3 hours} the code popped up.
Could it have been because the exhaust was "open" for so long ?
Everything I've read has said something in the EGR circuit...
Thanks in advance,
Mark B.
P0410 suggests that both banks are not responding, not just one. If just one bank was not responding, you would have a P1415 or P1416. The chances of both check valves being bad are remote. suggest you investigate if the AIR pump turns on, and if valve is allowing the air to flow to the check valves.
to replace the check valves left and right. look at this thread, it explains it all
