I seem to remember they are just mild steel, not stainless.
They're certainly not aluminum, or aluminum coated.
I also think they were 1 5/8 diameter, not the more common 1 3/4; and were touted to give more torque as a result.

I need a 02 bung welded in so its tig if stainless, mig if not ( or vica versa ) the shop I called dosn't weld stainless thats why I'm asking.

Your right. I just got an email from Mr Balenger himself. They are aluminized steel with jet hot coating
