Every car that I've ever had would blow warmer air at idle than it would while driving down the road, but not warm - my '03 coupe does that. It still blows cool air when stopped, just not quite as cold as it does while driving along.
Just curious... Have you checked to see that your system is fully charged?
Also, have a look at your temp gauge. If your temp is climbing up when stopped, your radiator is "heat soaking" your condenser.
Clean the condenser well (even if it means removal). Sometimes, just washing it (from the backside outwards) will help - You'd be surprised how much funk builds up on the fins.

Temps are stable even when idling, hosed off the condenser and radiator the other day some gunk came out but i am still getting noticeably hotter air when stopped. Both fans are coming are on when the a/c is running.
haven't been able to get the system checked
