I am going twin turbo and was told its best to wrap the headers and xpipe. So i am putting kooks 1 7/8 headers with 3" xpipe no cats on and my questions are this.
I would check with the manufacturer. When I had Doug Thorley headers in my 68, I was told to not wrap or coat them. Otherwise the warranty would be void.

well the headers are used kooks and i am not buying them new but i was told wrapping them helps hold heat in for the rear turbos. I know i dont want to wrap them and they rust and fall apart or if just getting them coated will do or both should be done.

Even if you buy them used, you should still check with the manufacturer as to whether doing either or both will reduce the life of the headers. They should know more about this than anyone else.
