Default Active Handeling Problem on the Track

Last weekend at Summit Point I was running the track with the Active Handeling in the Competition Mode. Then in turn 1 (a 180 right), the car lost power and I got a trouble code "C1282H" and a message "servive Traction Control". At the time I solved the problem simply by turning off the Traction Control. This code is for a bad Yaw sensor. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the Yaw sensor with a NEW improved version.

The service writer said that there was a service bulletin out on Yaw sensors and that I had gone beyond the limits of the sensor, which caused the code and message. I was wondering if anyone had had the same experience, or if not, then you'll know what the problem is if it should occcur.

If you never take your car to the track you should never have this problem.

Not exactly the time when you want the gadgetry failing! I've never heard of that occurrence before. My 98 doesn't have AH, so I can't say I've seen ANY problems related to it :D

You're right about that, lotzahp !! It kind of came on slowly. I kept feeling a little less power diging out of the corner, and then the computer decided it had had enough and really reduced power. Luckly I was about 3/4 through the turn when this happened so it wasn't a disaster.

I was a little hesitant about turning the Active Handeling off completely, since I've never run without it being in the Competition Mode before, but after a few laps my confidence was up again and I was turning fast laps again, but I could feel the rear wanting to get loose a few times.

OK Randy, I dont noe howe two spall, and at my age, it is already toooo late to learn, so I'll just go through the remainder of my life as a lousy speller. Just one of the burdens of life I must carry. :cry

I now have the NEW IMPROVED sensor, so I should have no additional problems with that malicious little bugger. Hey, have a good GOOD FRIDAY and a happy Easter, and don't forget the concert on Good Friday. :blueangel:
