How many do we really need to start these things? I have no stereo, will prolly remove the AC soon, as well as power steering, etc.....
I want to install a lightweight battery. I already keep the car on a battery tender. Can I get a little braile battery and trust it to start? I also do not drive it in the winter.
The "old" rule of thumb was a minimum that equaled your cubic inches. Of course ambient temp (thicker oil when colder), higher compression ratio, etc., etc. all plays into it.
Up north where it got way below freezing, we always used a minimum of 2 times the cubes (example: 350 cubic inches X 2 = 700 CCA).
