Default Spark Plugs - AC Delco Gap Question

Hey guys:

I bought new spark plugs for my 02' C5Z , they are 41-110 Iridium plugs made by AC Delco. They come pre-gapped at .040 but I wanted to know if I need to gap them or not?

Thanks.

do not gap iridium plugs or else you can scrape the iridium off and then the plugs will corrode

DON'T REGAP THEM! irridum is tough stuff can survive in a very hositle enviormentbut cannot take physical abusejust check that the gaps are AROUND .040 can be off little bit either way the world class ignition system we havewill negate any small varience we have in gap your concern should be getting them installed wiyhout cracking the porcelain or dropping them and damaging/closing the gap..... older cars with weak ign. systems (points ect.)spark plug gap was very important ...that is not the caes with todays cars
