My 99 vert has a Tiger Shark nose. The fog lights are in place but not working. The following fuses are missing from the engine bay fuse box:
#1 - RRFogLP (10A)
#7 - RTD (10A)
#37 - RR Fog LP
#51 - RTD - (20A)
So, the questions are: Why are these fuses missing? Does it have something to do with the replacement Tiger Shark nose? Any reason why I should not install fuses?
More info please. Did they work before? Did you buy the car this way or did you install the TS nose? Someone else install it for you? Have you checked to make sure the lights are wired up properly? RR Fog is for export cars with rear foglights. Find the correct fuse location first. Maybe it's blown. Do some more checking first and you might be able to answer your question yourself. Good luck!

Striper - thanks for your input.
I'm the third owner and the first owner installed the TS nose. The fogs have not worked since I bought the car. I got the window sticker and original dealer info from the NCM and it is a domestic car.
Not sure what you mean by correct fuse location - I listed all the fog fuses as shown on the lid of the fuse box.
I'm not sure what #7 & #51 are, but #1 & #37 are for Euro export cars' rear foglights. My car is not here for me to check for you. Didn't you find any other fuse locations? I think it might be #39 if I remember correctly.
Have you checked everything out yet? If so, what did you find as far as wiring and the #39 fuse. BTW, is the correct factory switch installed for the foglights? There also should be a relay in the same fuse box to power the fogs, check for that too.

Hi Striper,
The label in the top of the fuse box lists #39 as a fog relay and it is installed. As best I can tell, wiring is correct and the OE fog light dash panel is in place. What do you recommend as next step?
Tks.
I wish I still had the manuals but no longer do. Does the fog lamp switch light, come on when you push it? I'm thinking the power for the light comes from the relay contacts therefore indicating the relay actually closed but don't jump on me if I'm wrong....I think it worked that way. If the relay turns on and yet the lamps don't light, then look at the grounds that go through the ground pack as I mentioned before. This happened on my '99 once and it was the ground pack.

The small light adjacent to the fog light button does not come on. Missing fuses numbers 7 (10A) and 51 (20A) are labelled as RTD. Are these fog light fuses?
I'm just wondering one obvious thing you could have overlooked. Have you checked out the foglight bulbs to make sure they are not burned out? It may sound silly, but I've got PIAA 1100x lights on my Z and I've had bulbs burn out. It might be worth a look if everything else is looking good at this point. I would also trace and check the grounds to make sure they are not corroded. Grounds are a very important thing on these cars.
Schematic for 99 fog lights and under hood fuse box attached.
Fog fuses in both engine bay and instrument panel fuse boxes are good.
When I press the fog light button, the indicator light does not come on. So something is disconnected.
I'll check behind the dash at the switch.
I need some guidance to trace the wiring harness that feeds the fog lights. Perhaps it was not reconnected when the Tiger Shark nose was installed by the first owner. Anyone know how I can find it without starting at the fog lights and working backward?
Not sure if this will help, but my 99 failed inspection due to inoperative fog lights last spring (other weird electrical problems also). I traced fuses, checked 1/2 of the ground packs, etc., no luck. Turns out my battery had died and something happened to the bcm from lack of power(?). When I removed fuse #2 (? I think) and then replaced it, that allowed the bcm to be reflashed and then the foglights immediately started working.

Hmmm - interesting.
What other weird electrical problems were you having?

Thanks for the great posts here. Just went through a fog light issue. The problem with my car ended up being the ground pack. Took it apart and cleaned the contacts real good. Fog lights are back in action again!
