Adding convertible antenna
all you had to do to hook it up? Like placement, wiring. ect. My 98 is a
DD. 120 miles aound trip to work in So. Cal. Traffic reports are a must.
I have no problem in my 92 coupe, with a retrackable antenna and a
Kenwood radio. Have checked all connections in 98.
Thanks in advance. glassman74
Very recently my Z06 was backed into in the same location, the right rear. The fender has to be replaced so this is the perfect time to do some customizing. The body shop is filling the hole and I will be deleting the antenna from permanently sticking up. I'm taking the stock antenna and running it horizontally inside behind the rear bumper. If it doesn't work well enough, there are antennas made for street rods that are amplified antennas designed to work hidden inside of fiberglass bodies. I will try one of these. You might want to try one of these before you go making holes in your car.
