Service Steering Column Lock question
I read the long explanation on another thread.
I have a 2006 M6 which has had the GM recall applied.
V1144- 04006 Installed Harness Kit, Reprogram and Perform Functional Test.
Not sure that I need to purchase a CLB. I appears there is an alternative but I was not sure.
What are my options.

I don't believe the last guy had one installed. The car was driven very little since the kit was installed in 05. Only about 5k when I purchased it.
I pulled fuse 25 and 23. The message went away. I drove the car up my driveway going about 5mph. Seemed fine...... Am I to optimistic that this will work for a while?

If I were considering installing an aftermarket CLB, I would "guess" whether or not the previous owner had installed one, I would pull the panel below the steering column and see for sure what you have.
I have a 2004 Z06, and it still has the GM Harness K relay installed and working fine. I carry an aftermarket relay in case it fails.
